Fibrocystic Breast Disease

In fibrocystic breast disease, round lumps that move freely form in the breasts. The lumps can be either firm or soft. Symptoms include tenderness and lumpiness in the breasts. Pain is usually most severe before menstruation. (Caution: breast cancer has similar symptoms.)

Dietary Strategy:
Avoid alcohol, caffeine and other methylxanthine-containing foods (tea, chocolate, cola).
